Rouge de Marmande - A tasty heirloom beefsteak tomato
Rouge de Marmande (Solanum lycopersicum) is an old French variety known for its fleshy, ribbed red fruit. It is particularly appreciated for its rich, sweet flavour, ideal for salads, sauces and Mediterranean cuisine. In very warm climates, it can develop a yellow collar, which in no way affects its flavour. This traditional variety has been selected and preserved by ProSpecieRara, thus guaranteeing its authenticity and genetic richness.
