The FYTA Beam soil sticks ensure accurate measurement results when optimally matched to the pot size and root length of your plant. They are the key to precise moisture and nutrient measurement in the substrate and therefore an indispensable accessory for the FYTA Beam plant sensor.
Description
To ensure that the sensor works correctly, the rods should be at least completely inserted into the substrate – deeper is better than too shallow. Important: The rods must not reach the drainage layer (e.g. expanded clay) to avoid measurement errors.

Application
- Insert the sensor rods deep enough into the soil, but not into the drainage layer.
- If you encounter resistance from roots or bark, change the location.
- Ideally, the sensor should reach into the lower third of the pot
- Do not allow to protrude from the substrate – this will distort the measurement.
